Veronica’s passion for dance began as a young girl. By the time she was 15, she was a multidisciplinary dancer, exploring various styles and techniques, and began her teaching journey by leading her first classes. At 16, she taught for the City of San Jose Parks and Recreation, and by 19, she founded her first studio, Veronica’s Art of Dance, where she developed programs that prioritized emotional growth alongside movement. While attending CSU East Bay, she was accepted as a freshman into the Modern Dance Ensemble, refining her skills as a performer and choreographer.

As a highly sensitive person (HSP), Veronica experienced sensory overwhelm and anxiety, which she later recognized as stemming from her heightened perception of emotions and energy. Inspired by her father’s mental health work, she turned her challenges into strengths by creating the JMM Dance Method. This program uses movement to teach life skills such as empathy, emotional regulation, and self-awareness, making dance a powerful tool for holistic education.

Rooted in her father’s legacy and her own experiences, Veronica’s mission is to bring SEL-focused dance programs to public schools and communities, offering students tools for emotional growth and connection through the transformative power of dance.
